Welcome to the random pics from Crane's July 1999 Auction

A tradition of firing an anvil every hour on the hour.

This year a new game was invented. The Peavy Toss!
The game is rather simple... I target is placed about 20-30 feet down field.
The thrower must toss the peavy so that it makes at least one complete revolution in the air and must stick, point first in the target.

Martin demonstrates his "choke up on it" technique.

Pat Leach demonstrates the "Knuckle Drag Toss".

The best shot of the day.

As the games degraded we resumed burning Transitionals.
And later in the evening Maritn decides to toss one of his catalogs in the fire as well.
I call this caption:
"A fool and his money are some party"
Meanwhile, we all feasted on Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Keilbasa, Freshly shucked Clams, clam chowder, and of course the famous Cherry Vanilla Icecream.
Ohh yeah, there was also an auction.
